I'm headed to Michigan for the next step in my career. I start my new gig on 9/20, but will be commuting back and forth for a few months.
I'll be resigning my board position on Putah Creek Trout, effective immediately.
I've loved my time here in California and many of the members of this forum have been great friends and fishing companions; I look forward to getting out a few times during the weekends I'm back, especially for the egg bite on the Yuba.
Speaking of the Yuba, I'll likely be heading out for a full day of fishing (maybe with float tube) on Wednesday.
was that you I met at the guide hole last winter ? whoever it was they were showing me how to high stick and I remember they had parked there car going the wrong direction , but I was slamming them high sticking , eather way would love to hit the creek with you or maybe the yuba before. just made plans for wed though so probabily wont make the yuba wed
Jerry: Sorry to see you go, PCT is going to miss your involvement and help for sure and this forum will also miss a long time member. You were also generous to pay alot of $$$$ for a guided trip to Putah with me at the  fundraiser which we never hooked up. I was hoping we could still do this so maybe I could learn something about the creek!!! When your in Michigan take a drive over to upstate New York to the Little Sandy River, its kinda like Putah in size but has HUGE browns rainbows and some steelhead that all come out of the great lakes. I have caught fish in the creek from 8 to 19lbs, you have to make the trip! Good luck with your new career and keep in touch with us here at the forum. Greg
can we get a report from the yuba ,When you get a chance? . I,E Â are there any salmon in the system. sarah has only seen one . last year and wants to go see them again this year. but I don't know if they haved moved into the system yet thanks
Bono - you are a great guy and guide. I hope Putah picks up after all our efforts and becomes the fishery we all know it can be.
I will DEFINITELY look up the little sandy river, and let you guys know how it goes in Michigan on some of the big northern rivers fishing steelhead, salmon and trout. Who knows, maybe i'll become a muskie and pike fisherman too.
Thanks for all your help, and thanks for being such a great resource for so many on your board!
You are always welcome if you come visit Michigan.
Sad to lose you but it give us all a reason to go fishing in Michigan!! Unfortunately I am in Spain 'till mid November so will miss you but i am sure well catch up somehwere along the line.
Cheers
Alastair
