Me and brandon are going to the east carson for the weekend 8/13 to do some fishing what are some flys we should not forget to bring .and would anyone comment on a good place to start neather  one of us have been there before? thanks

tan fox pupahs, stoneflys, mayflys for nymphs, stimulators for drys, start at hangmans bridge and fish down from there. its your first bridge outside of markleeville.

Fished the east carson on saturday. The first pic. is around 8 a.m nice clear river bluebird weather, The second pic. is the river around 4 p.m after the most intense thunder lightning, rain, and hail storm I have ever endured ! Chocolate milk and rose a good foot. Up till that point fishing was decent. Had higher hopes but the weather had me off the water early. Ended up sunday on one of the upper forks of the consumnes, Perfect small stream fishing for rainbows, browns, and brookies in one stretch of river.

Yeah unfortunately thats the way it goes!!! At least the fishing gods have been shinning on you lately so I suppose they decided it was time to throw a curve ball !!confuse

 Had to work very hard and cover alot of water. Ended up doing quit well both days, It took a pretty serious effort though.
