I'm fishing the Wood and Williamson in a week and a half and have never before.  If anyone has feel free to post your experience.  I've done some research but 1st hand info would be much appreciated.  Thanks Oak

Many years ago I fished a private section of the Wood.  I can't even remember the name of the ranch where we got access; maybe it was Horseshoe ranch.  It was suggested to us to use dark, beadhead leech patterns on a sinking line, fished under undercut banks.  I lost my supply of bead-head leeches due to snags so I went to a brown, non-beadhead leech.  I landed a 20 inch brown and a 15 inch brown on it.  And both were hooked under undercut banks.  Even though I caught only two fish, it was the first time I had fished the Wood and the 20 incher was a really nice fish so I wasn't really disappointed.  As I remember it, we fished only a half a day, but it was quite hot so a half day was enough.

Thanks Nohackle,
I just got back from two days on the Williamson and one on the Wood. The first day on the Williamson was overcast and the fishing was on fire. Lots of fish, all rainbows. We had many over 16in. and a few over20. Hard fighting fish that were slamming large stimmulators on the surface and sunk while being stripped in, but the large fish all had red marks all over them with some lice or somthing stuck to them from being in the lake. The Wood the next day was hot and clear and the fish were not cooperating like the day before. I did manage a few 10-12in brownies under the banks with grass hoppers. Our last day we went back to the Williamson and did a long drift from Chiliquin to Modoc point rd. We got fish in Chiliquin and just below but no size then we got down to the same hole we were at days before and after switching up to green leaches we were in fish, again they were slamming the flys.Great trip all in all. If anyone wants access info just give a hollar.
