if thats the trinity when did u make it up there. me and a buddy was just there last week for a 2 day trip and did really well on the usual 14-16"er, but we did manage 2 bigger fish to hand, with a few nice size fish that were LDR's. he landed a nice 19"er and i landed a 28" beauty.

For sure I took to many pics .and it took a while to revive but she swamno away  I am trying to save face here I kept putting her back in the water between pics but I am trying to minamize the fact she was out waY to long . I did spend time reviving her  but that really sucks I know and I wont be doing the full length feature movie with the next pig I catch for sure . And Its approipiate that someone calls me on it . and not just not say something . I think your comment about keeping the fish sarcastic which I  compleatly understand is that I probably killed it by keeping out of water that long to take to take so many pics . I might as well kept it because it probably died later . thanks for saying something Annie . So I will  Use the shame I feel about doing that to not repeat the same mistake blankstare. It,s not a populairity contest of who can land the biggest fish . I think its good too keep each other in check .

My question wasn't meant to be sarcastic.  You called the fish a "keeper" and I just wondered why you would keep such a beautiful girl, that's all.  We all like getting a pic when we catch a nice fish, myself included.  Sounds like you are wiser for your experience and will use that knowledge the next time you are out on the water.

Having a fish "swim" away means nothing. The lactic acid build up can cause death hours later.  Thats quite the fish Richard, Hopefully she's still out there for others to enjoy.  Now the question is this, did you get it on your own or were you guided ?

As much as I like taking pictures of fish I have left the camera behind and the last few outings. It' really a pain in the butt if you're alone to get decent pics. I know what I've caught and I don't need photos to prove it, the memory of them are in my head.

With that being said, my buddy and I have been talking about investing in a video camera to capture the moment. We'd still have the fish on video and the release would be just the same as not taking any extra time to get photo. Looking into the Flip Video camera.

Have you checked out the water housing for the flip? It's waterproof for depths of up to 30ft.

In my opinion the GoPro is a better camera. It can shoot in 1080p (flip=720p) and some models are waterproof to depths of up to 180ft. Plus they have cool a mount cool mount for my surfboard, snow boarding helmet, or my bike frame.

It's not heading anywhere Richard.  Steve I apologize in front of god and country.  I should know better at this point after everything we have been through the last couple years on this website and others.  As far as that fish it's beautiful.  I seriously would not worry about it too much dude.  We all have some skeletons in the closet as far as fish handling goes.
