The east side is fun, but for the most part has nothing on the west.  Big fish eat little fish!!

I heard you guys might be down there over the weekend.  That's a nice brown.  It's weird fishing in the desert next to dudes with dodger hats on.disbelief

Emerger had the South Platte specials for that brownie. Size 26 emerger. We were laughing the whole time at how the hard charging brownies were hitting size 24-26 flies in the fastest water. Good thing we had some Putah flies like the JT spent midge!! Fish rising everywhere and mockingbirds laughing when you lose a fish on a size 26 barbless fly. I did land one fish on your secret fly Cole. We even used One Weight Bob's technique that he has perfected on the Little T.

Nice fish Otter. I hit the East Walker on Sunday for the first time. What a blast. I love that river already.

Just got done doing another trip to the East Walker, this time we camped so we could fish 2 days. I highly suggest getting out there. Between me and my buddy, we had 20-30 fish days, he indicator fished, while I did drys, nymphs and streamers. Even brought some Sage 2wt rods that I have been demoing and got some browns on drys, they were not big, but still it was a blast. The 2 biggest fish came on a small JT special style midge that I tie. My buddy got a 20"er and I got a 22" beast. The both fought like Yuba trout, not Browns at all. I love that river. Top 5 for sure. On the way home it a new Brookie Stream that is freakin awesome. Man browns on drys and Brookies on drys and woolys on a 2wt does it get any better.

Hey Otter is that special technique call the Little Truckee Shuffle

Shawn,

Ted kazyinski called and said he was available for the Unabomber Backpack trip with you, FYI.

I have been working way too much these days.  We are  heading to Rock Creek, the Blackfoot, Big Hole, Beaverhead and Madison for 9 days starting next Thursday.  I can't wait to relax for a few days.  i might even have some Bombay Saphire in honore of the good Dr. bombay.

Yes, the LT Shuffle would be the correct name.  As I recall, it produced at least 2 nice fish and many more laughs.  Geeze, I was just reading an online report on Rock Creek, where we'll be fishing next Thursday and Friday, and a guide flipped his raft this past week, and one of the fly fishers was drowned . . . holy s***.  The river has been running very high, but is coming down thankfully.  I guess it's just a reminder to be ready for anything.

Jerry, thanks for heading by the Access points and checking the signs, now I can enjoy Father's Day with the family.

Bob
