sarah and I drifted from just above turtle rock from about ten to 5 too about two miles down with slim from cast hope. Our first time on a drift boat for me or sarah what a great thing to see sarah finally  hit some fatties and the the biggest one of the day probably around five pounds and 22 inches-- not sure of the weight-- but slim measured it and it was 22in and caught probably another 4 or so and had a chance to work on the set. I kept on hearing slim yelling "set! set!"  What a good day it was to fish from a drift boat and me well I stopped needing pics after about five landed but probably landed 8 or 9 and missed another 7 or 8 hits. lower sac in redding rocks and none of it would have possible without Cast Hope or the people that donate their time. .........winkSlim

Nice fish guys.  That Slim dude is everywhere.  He drifted through Matty and me on back to back days on the Trinity in December.

I can vouch for Alastair, he landed 21 fish yesterday.  It was quite a show.  I think he pulled out some secret South African stink bait and put it on his nymphs.  The other 3 of us had decent days, but Alastair was amazing.

Somehow, every storm was either just north or just south of our two boats.  We stayed dry all day to observe The Alastair Rimmer Show.  Sadly, he must have put some off brand South African batteries in his camera, as the camera crapped out about 1 hour into the drift.

DANG!! I'm kinda glad Allistair was NOT on our drift trip-- he'd have hogged all the fish!!biggrin Seriously, though, when are you gonna start black-marketing that "secret" fly??

No secrets here ........ it was all Ryan ...... I just dangled my rod over the side and he did the rest.
