I was fishing one of our valley tailwaters this weekend and discovered its full of small light olive scuds. So I was curious does anyone use scud patterns locally ? I've never really gave them much thought, But I will now. Anybody have any favorite scud patterns ?

Scuds are pretty easy to tie. Just use some olive dubbing with a clear stripping as the back. Then use copper wire as the ribbing. Then use something to pick out the dubbing from the bottom giving it legs.

they actually make scud pattern tungton bodies that makes scuds sink like a rock and they look way better that just building them up with dubbing.
