Is there one single rule in the state as far as the high water mark goes. Funny I should probably know this but mostly fish public water. Most places you have to be below the high water mark. Some spots I have heard it's the median water mark. I am more specifically asking about the Russian. Found some trees yesterday with red tags on them. Not looking very harvestable the tags had to be the high water mark. Any thoughts.
The high water mark law does not always apply. Most of the time it does. There is no single rule. Most of the pvt. water I know of are spring creeks buts there a few other sierra rivers that also cant be accessed. Sorry I don't know anything about the russian. But if you ever wanna show me around a bit
Yeah the river was coming into shape for a few days there. We got this rain now so we'll see how it goes. Spent most the day swinging yesterday, river was high but fishy looking. I'll let you know.
Got to work this morning and sure enough the Russian is blown again. Seems like we waited almost a month for it to green up and one night of rain knocked us out again. Won't be fishing til at least first week of March. It's like a bad relationship I can't get out of.
