I just fished Baum Lake in Shasta county for the last three days.  Tons of fish and crystal clear water.  Even with all the rain.  Had a lot of fun fishing in the snow.

You ever fish Manzanita at Lassen? That's a nice place too.

I used to fish Manzanita  a lot.  Its pretty much snowed in right now so I fish Baum Lake.  My house is about one mile from the lake so its easy for me.
Zonker, I have a bunch of mouse patterns but I haven't used them yet for the big browns.  I will this spring and summer for sure.

I left up there last sunday and It was snowing pretty hard but at the 3200 ft level it doesn't stick for very long. You get a few inches on the ground but by the afternoon it was all gone. At the higher elevations starting around 5000 feet there was tons of snow. Several feet thick.
