Planning a trip with the fam to head up to nothern Idaho. Ive never been up there im wondering if anyone has any tips on some good rivers or streams. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Fishing isnt about catching fish, its not about who caught the most, or who caught the biggest, its about the experience that you have on the water, and the life long bonds you make with others on the journey to becoming a better person inside.

The St. Joe, The Spokane River, The Couer d'alene River, The Pack River, Priest River are all really good rivers in N. Idaho. Western Montana is also right next door. Check out Rock Creek. Also, there are a ton of small lakes as well. Everything from rainbows, cuts, pike, muskie and bass.
AC- I would definately try to fish the St. Joe. It's been a long time since I've been there but there is access off of Hwy 90 just into Montana. Then you take a forest service road that we would refer to as half moon pass. It loops you back into Idaho and follows the river I think all the way back down to Couer D'alene lake. Cuttthroats galore and a few really big rainbows. Beautiful area and great access for day trips. It's a much overlooked river because of all the big famous streams that are right next door in Montana.
