Thats a fine looking fish. I've been out on numerous occasions paddling around the bay looking for those elusive fish but I still haven't even managed a hook up. Where and what did you catch it on?

Fly fishing is so enjoyable, it should be done in bed.
i caught her on a small (about inch and a half) streamer, white and orange. by montazuma slough, It was a great fight, i love catching decent fish on light tackle, but LilWhippersnapper no ironically i didnt catch any bait had another striper about 21inchs long but that was it, and I enjoyed how the other rednecks out there HATED the fact that i gladly released both of those fish alive and strong and that they didnt get a bite :)
That's one of the best things about catch and release... You catch and release one right in front of a fisheater, then they ask you "why'd you let it go?" Then you answer, "Cuz I care about the fishery."
Awsome fish ...... on a 4 weight thats crazy. I must confess though I have never eaten Striper but from what I have heard they are wuite tasty. So if I got a nice 5 pounder he/she might be on the way home with me.

Yep, hatchery trout do have less Mercury in their bodies than our Bay waters finned friends. Only two tacos per person are recommended by the FDA or you'll glow.
If I can tsee through the water I probably wont eat what comes out of it....although I dont eat fish I catch...so doesnt really matter, but if I did :D
