Anyone want to fish on Friday after Thanksgiving? I'll be at the in-laws for Thanksgiving and already got the fishing pass from the wife to get out on the water. Truckee was also an idea but I think there is a forecast for heavy snow on Friday.
Packrat, you might wanna check the weather reports again. Weather.com says it's gonna be mostly sunny on friday. I didn't see any snow in the forecast.
Let me know what you're thinking, if it's during the week, i might be able to go with you. Sunday I'll be open as well. Mid-week would be better for the crowds if possible.

In looking at my calendar, next week will be tough. We have our annual physical inventory next week and there will be mucho prep for it during the week. The week after will be much, much better. If you could go Thursday the 10th, or Friday, December 11th, those would work.

Fishing isnt about catching fish, its not about who caught the most, or who caught the biggest, its about the experience that you have on the water, and the life long bonds you make with others on the journey to becoming a better person inside.
I just checked and I've got some Bombay Saphire left. Do you think the good doctor might be in? I know alistair would be interested, but he's pretty much of a lightweight like all of those South African pansies.
Bambay Blue..... %$# .....I use that stuff for mouth wash..... I'll bring the good stuff along. 10th 11th I'll be in...next week too except Monday got Project Healing Waters with the Veterans here in Napa.
Oh ....pansies...... mmmmm......anyone for a game of rugby????
PS hopefully we'l have good news re:regulations on Putah to celebrate evening of the 10th???

Which damn dam are you talking about? Both damn dams are on private property. If you are talking about the damn Daguerre dam it is just below the private fishing/hunting club. You will need to pay some money to fish there. You could float down there, but you won't be able to get back to your car without a lot of problems. You could hike down there from Sycamore, but it is a gun club....
I am hiking upriver with my tent and will be camping out at the UC property all of next week

There used to be a road that went nearly to the upper dam, but it has since been blocked!!! The only way to get to the Englebright dam legally is to hike. If you start at 2 in the morning you could get up there....
Fly fishing clubs are allowed to have events at the UC Property. You could hike up there from this area. If you join PCT we are having a meeting up there this year!

It is not legal to camp anywhere along the Lower Yuba above the bridge. It is all private property. It was really just some fun. Expect to see a ton of people if you are fishing up there the next few weeks.
