After being skunked numerous times at Putah, I finally got into a few today. Nothing huge but nice wild fish. The wind was howling in the trees but right on the water it was fairly calm.
Nice! Good fighters? Did you try a new spot or did they just finally start hitting where you'd been going. I keep getting skunked myself at access #5, but I keep going back because the one fish I pulled out of that area was a fatty.
They were good fighters although the biggest was only 12 inches. I was just happy to get the skunk off. I fished my normal spots and the fish seemed to be there in good numbers.
