Haven't posted in awhile but thought you guys would like to see some pics from my yearly excursion to the Kenai Peninsula in AK. Fishing was pretty good in terms of size but numbers were down significantly.
Landed my PB rainbow of 30" x 18.5" which put it at just under 15 lbs. Had one day where my dad and I hooked and landed rainbows of 15, 12, 10, 8, and probably another 10 between 6 and 8 lbs. Fish of this size are not uncommon and in fact the guide we go with sent us a picture last week of a 35" x 22.5" rainbow that was pushing 25 lbs!
We also got a bunch of steelhead from a small coastal river not much larger than Putah. We ended up hooking 14 on a Saturday and didn't even fish till dark. Most of the fish we caught were right above tidewater and all were chrome and had sea lice. Biggest was 32" and around 12 lbs.
Now onto the fish porn!
