Went fishing with Dr. B over the weekend. On saturday I caught around 12 in the morning then it just died out in the afternoon. On sunday I caught around 15 in the morning. The biggest fish was a 16ish incher on a yellow stimulator. I found 3 different spots where I would hook at least 5 fish in each of them. I think the best part of the trip was not having to eat dehydrated food after a long day of fishing. Especially not having to smell the aftereffects of Shaun's Chili Mac in the tent. Oh yeah, while I was standing over the toilet to drain the hose, something ran out from under it... It was frickin godzilla. That thing was over a foot long.
The browns are from a few weeks ago.

Fishing isnt about catching fish, its not about who caught the most, or who caught the biggest, its about the experience that you have on the water, and the life long bonds you make with others on the journey to becoming a better person inside.
Both browns and a rainbow on steroids. There were several larger, but a light rain put the kabosh on taking those pics, at least with my crappy camera.
No brookies in these waters, but lots of browns and 'bows. Step away from the Putah and get out there!
where's a good / relitively cheap place to stay on the east carson thats near where you fish the river and are the weekends so crowded it makes it not worth the drive alistair said it's pretty bad as to the crowds ?
Go online with Sarah and check out lodging in Markleeville or at the East Carson Resort which have little cabins to stay. Not sure if Woodfords is open right now, but check them out too. They're also close. No crowds this time of year.
Now is the time to go. Listen to the good doctor... Dr. B.
