i finally got the boat done. im going to take it out to san pablo soon then get on to some nicer waters and get some fly fishing in. i had a few mistakes along the way but nothing i couldnt fix. any tips on good floats for someone that hasnt done many floats in california, ill be willing to take

Thats a thing of beauty. Nice work, I'm a Finish Carpenter by trade and do a lot of custom work, and I have to say, well done on the jointery. Was this from a pattern or your own design?

I like it.I wish I had the motivaton to build a woody....I would float the lower sac and mabe check out a few salt water rivers and fish for striper's.tide water is a great way to get some practice....slow moving, no logs, rocks or fast water...
