Here are a few pics from Goodyear creek and the Truckee.  The only thing I caught on the Truckee were some of those planters, so no pictures.  Did see this bear upstream from the Glenshire bridge.  Pretty cool he was heading for a fellow fly fisher right on the trail, so I started making some noise and he headed for the ridge.  Headed off to Downieville and it was crowded with those burner mountain bikers.  Downieville Downhill and the Markleeville Death ride on the same weekend.bleh  Headed to Goodyear and caught some little guys.  Also hit the Old toll bridge road for some bigger fish on the North fork Yuba.  The lime trude is a great fly for small streams, and bigger ones too.

Those are great little rivers and creeks up there.  I was up there for the 4th of July and there weren't too many people around.  Never heard of a lime trude.

Lime and Royal Trudes are must have Sierra attractors. What I like best out of them is the kiptail wing. I can see the darn thing when its on water! The fish don't seem to mind the fly, too.

Great post, Otter.

You should have tackled that bear and clipped some of its hair off.Make some good flies out of that...

That's a good idea! Bear hair caddis. It will match the dark wings of those little green caddis. I will tackle the next one and scalp him with my Bowie Knife.

Otter, great looking creek!

Along with the lime theme, the Limeaid is a very popular attractor in Colorado.
