Putah Creek Council and aquatic biologist Ken Davis have a program underway to sample Putah Creek's insects in order to understand Putah's insect population dynamics. This group meets about every other weekend in Winters and spends the morning collecting and looking at the teeming underwater life of Putah Creek. Ken is an AMAZING, knowledgeable expert on Putah Creek insects.
It's a great opportunity to understand the diversity and learn about different insect life cycles from someone who spends most days doing just that.
As some Putah Creek anglers have noted, this is an awesome opportunity for local fishermen and woman to understand the intricacies of how they can match their tying to Putah Creek’s insects.
If you’re interested in participating, please contact Ken Davis. He’ll put you on his mailing list to be alerted when he’s planning an outing. We limit the outings to 10 participants per event. The next event is June 20th. ken@creekman.org
