Parachute Adams: calf tail or antron/poly yarn?

What do you use for a wingpost in parachute flies? I've always had difficulties getting calf tail fibers stacked well and tied down without creating bulk, so I've been using poly yarn. Does anyone have any tips in minimizing calf tail bulk when making a wingpost? Also, any general feedback/tips on my parachute would be much appreciated!

Vince first of all, nice tie. Secondly I usually use poly yarn and tie it down like I am tying a spinner, then I pull up the wings and make them into a post. I find tying it in this way you can better shape the body taper.

I prefer poly yarn.  I don't like the work of cleaning/stacking hair.  I guess I'm just lazy.

I just learned this pattern the other week with Dave McCants out of Creative Sports.  We used poly yarn and it went pretty well.  I imagine it's easier than using calf tail as the chute.

That's all I have to offer....nice fly.

I, too, substitute poly yarn if calf tail is listed in a recipe.
