My girlfriend is leaving for a few days which gives me time to fish somewhere further then solano. I want to stay a couple of days. Anyone one has any idea on a river that will produce well at the begining of may?
lower american strippers and springers upper american rivers for trout on drys and nymphs (depending on time of yr) lower yuba trout trout and more trout the truckees trout trout and more trout lower sac trout steelies and more trout
just to name a few
you will have so many choices you wont know which one to make. seriously just watch the forums, keep an eye on the flows and fish hard. anywhere u go you will hook up.

very funny, i guess its one of those typos where the red line can't even save you. If you decide to go for those "strippers" just make sure to bring your "nymph" a game with you.

ok what did i miss. the nymph for the upper americans maybe. well its true though depending on the time of yr, you will pick up more fish on nymphs than drys, dry fly action doesnt really start pickin up until the end of june, but can get some nice hatches in may time. i think thats the typo right.
ill fix the typo, hopefully that is better. u guys crack me up

Strippers = women usually found in those old warehouse buildings near Folsom Blvd. and Auburn Blvd in Sac and Industrial Blvd. in Vegas. Stripers = Striped Bass found in rivers, lakes, estuaries, deltas, oceans.
Brian, i think what Emerger is referring to is......... stri"p"ers = a very large and ferocious game fish that fall victim to a carefully place clouser........... stri"pp'ers = a more petite, although can be large, nude and or carefully dressed form of entertainment, often falling victim to a carefully placed dollar bill , or as in the rap videos, a rain cloud of dollar bills.
I guess then strippers and stripers aren't so different, they both seem to feed ferociously when it "rains."

oh crap didnt even notice that i had a double ps on that, my bad. oh well, like you said, strippers or stripers, they normally wear stripes, and they get very ferocious when they get wet, or throw something shinny at them.

whether the truckee or little truckee if you see redds go with a glo bug or bed for top fly, and a mayfly, or caddis nymph. also look out for greyish black size 16 stone flys this time of yr u will see them all over the snow. but my go to fly for these rivers is sometype of mayfly. maybe even a pink san juan. yes a pink san juan.
