Well, after rather futile morning on the yuba on tuesday (as it is still pretty dirty), i decided to change tactics and go bass fish. I went to a nearby lake and managed to do pretty well in a couple hours, about 5 to hand. All takes were extremely aggressive, it seems like the fish are already in the pre-spawn mode. I think with the warmer weather this weekend its going to be on, and if you like to fly fish for bass, or want to give it a try, the next couple weeks should present great opportunities for bass on flies, especially since bass are chasing around shad and other baitfish this time of year in the shallows.
Yesterday I went striper fishing on the feather, landed two in a few hours of fishing. The high water has brought in a pretty good amount of fish, and as the water is clearing it will only get better. Feather should be in a week or two, the sac will also be good as soon as it clears up a bit (who knows when that will be though).
