hi friends a great opportunity has happened. A backpacking friend and myself are guiding a trip to the Beartooth Plateau in Montana. Some of these lake have produced record Cutt's and Goldens in the 5lb range. Check out the trip is being ran under the Sierra Club. Ya its super expensive, i totally understand. Thats why I decided to guide them.
The trips are manly for people that would never have the time to figure out the route to some of the lakes and streams and all the food for a 9 day trip.
Also much of the money covers training for the guides, Steve and I. Mostly wilderness rescue and backcountry medicine, and then of course our insurance and , in case someone decides they want to sue us for only catching a 3lb. Golden trout.
If you have the time its simply an awesome place on the Plateau, last time i fished the area is saw no one for 2 weeks.
you could easily drive or fly to Livingston then Hitch hike to the trailhead then do your own trip for as long as you want, especially if your on a budget.
All you need to do is down load the brochure and get a map and away you go...
