Hi there. My name is Jon, I'm 23, and a student at UC Davis. I come from Bishop, Ca and although I have been fishing most of my life, I have only learned to fly fish the past year or two. Let me just say that fly fishing has become an obsession for me; so much so that I don't even want to pick up my spin rod. It's a wonderful sport and I just can't get enough of it.
I just found this website a couple days ago and wow, I didn't even realize how nice of fish Putah has! I really want to get out there and get fishing (the only time I get to fish is when I go home for break; fly fishing only 3 times a year is just not enough!) it's just that I don't have a car or know any other fisherman here in Davis. I would qualify myself as a novice fly angler with good basic skills, I just need more time on the water. So if there is anybody out there willing, I'd really love to get out and try my luck on Putah. Perhaps gain a friend or two in the process.
