Anyone know how much water is in the creek. I hear trout sometimes get up a little. I would never fish for these trout if its true but would love to see something like that around this area. if any one has any info on this it would be appreciated if you let me know.
I've seen fish a short ways up but it's been a number of years. The neatest thing I've seen on the creek was watching a number of trout trying to swim up into the glory hole. They would make it maybe 10' at best then get blown back out and hold up on the edge for awhile before trying again.

Last spring cold creek was loaded with trout fry, about 1 to 2 inches. It was funny to watch such small trout sipping midges off the surface, I know other guys have seen some large fish up in the creek but we should just leave em alone. Theres also a redd right up against the shore line were the creek enters putah, Its in a very vulnerable spot I hope all that see it know what it is and do not walk over it, If the flows drop much this redd will be high and dry.
Last Thursday the lower creek was totally dry. Its going to take some significant rain to rewater that stretch. A number of those fry in Cold Creek last spring were caught by net and moved down to PC, otherwise, they would have died. The fry in the picture on the putahcreektrout.org site was one of those rescued.
