I was looking on You Tube to find some ideas for the guy who was interested in teaching a youngster how to mend line when I found this:

It's for a fly called the Lithuanian Bat.   It's a simple tie they use in Ohio for bass and searun trout.  I think it might work for steelhead.

I saw some bat flies too when I had too much time. Heck I was thinking Putah around the bridges right around dusk in the summer.
Ed type in Putah Creek on You Tube, you'll find some dude catching trout from last month on there. not really cool if you ask me but what ya gonna do. You'll also see some kid with a big dead wild fish, as well as cool video of trout spawning which I believe has been mentioned on the boards before.
