Today was my second trip to the creek and let me say it was a huge improvement from the previous trip on saturday. On saturday I only Landed one planter the entire day, yet today landed a few wild fish from 10-14 inches. I fished the bridge area and caught most of the fish on PT nymphs, WD40's, and san juan worms. was anyone else out on the creek today? how did ya do?
I was out there today as well, got there about 12:30ish landed 7 wild, nothing to write home about beauties from below. hooked into 12. Some older guy had the nuts to fish down stream no more than 40ft from me, The best part of the whole thing was that I landed 5 fish in front of him with him landing 0. Other than that and the 78yr old man across the stream from me hucking salmon eggs with 12lb test and 4-1 ounce split shots, snagging my line with every other cast because his old salty eyes cant see more than 2ft in front of his face. It still was a great day. Looking to land some pigs next weekend after I tie up some secret weapons....tbc
Easy on the old guys man, you'll be there someday too. I assume you all were fishing the bridge area, Well what do you expect ? You ain't old, you ain't a kid so go out and find your own little peice of solitude, its there you just have to find it.
Shon, I agree with you 100%, however my point is that people should try to be more curtious and respectful of our fellow anglers. Oh and by the way i was in the bridge area.
I will once again be out there this friday but going to move farther down stream. Any reports on anyone landing some browns? Shon, I wasn't bashing old guys I was merely painting a verbal picture to all about my day. He actually landed a nice fish on the Salmon eggs, but as for the fly fisherman who fished 40ft down stream of me "F" him. I hope he enjoyed watching me land those fish anyone want to meet up and slay some fish let me know I will be on the water aroung 8:30-9 am.
Very few browns are caught ..They will start to spawn soon ,so leave them alone if you are lucky enough to spot one.they are only in one section of the river any how...
easy guy's the "salty old man" is the resort owner/manager. I saw him ride off on his golf cart. he was in the same spot on saturday and he caught at least 10 fish on those "fireballs". crusty old guy never smiled or said anything, but I gues from his perspective he has seen all us flyfishermen and women come in and cramp his style also.

I agree with Mx19, If you see em you gotta leave em alone right now. I too beleive they are only in one short section of creek.
Broker you are such a puss grow a pair and stop living you whole life in fear. After that "old salt" caught his fish he gave me a thumbs up and I gave it right back! And as far as where the "big browns" spawn is no secret Shon so you can step off your high and mighty horse,I was just curious if anyone landed any lately.Bottom line there is no secrets spots on this small creek anyone with a couple hours and two legs worth a **** can figure that out.
Ok gents ... fishing ... not economy or presidential politics...
