I got there friday and fish the afternoon.  It was windy, but was catching fishing.  I started with a hopper because it was to windy to cast little flies.  The fish love rising to the hopper and then crush it.....Later i switch to Nymphing, using a size 18 caddis soft hackle on top and then dropping two zebra midge black and red.  Wow i was catching fish with this set up.  Next day SAT,  same nymph setup....same results.  Sunday....very nice weather....then i guess the fish gods... answer..... and a mayfly hatch was coming off.    Fish drys all the way to noon...then when it slow down it was time to head home.....I love fishing the upper Owens .....anytime......
