decided to fish putah this morning for a few hours, Its been a few months since i"ve been there and it was pretty much what I expected, Had 2 really quick LDR's on a pheasant tail. Surprised there wasn't more action since the bugs were coming off pretty decent in the late morning, midges, various sized pmd's, a few BWO's, and an occasional caddis. What really irrated me was the fact there were a bunch of guys playing air soft on the #5 island, They actually had the nerve to give me a warning to watch out, I won't get into what I told them biggrin, As I walked away one said what an a$#ho*e. I was happy to see very little trash in the area. Highlight of the day was when a putah PIG came up and gave my indicator a good look, Guess I should've came back with a stimulator. Was nice to get up there for a bit, Hope this winter fishes as well as last.

Hit it again today with a totally defferent game plan, swinging streamers on a sinktip on the backside of 5. Just one planter to hand and a handful of missed nibles(planter bites). Just good to get some rod time in. Eagerly awaiting winter time on putah. Was nice to see Emerger and his daughters out there today.

As Shaun mentioned I was out there with my girls for a bit this afternoon. We didn't accomplish much fishing but had fun bushwacking and wading around the island. Another we did was gather bugs for our aquarium. I haven't had the chance to ID them yet so I can't tell you exactly what they are. I know just enough about bugs to say that we gathered up to three different varieties of caddis larva, one clinger nymph, and three or more types of swimming nymphs. Oh, and about a gazzilion NZMs smile Plus several "midges" and some egg clusters. It's a lot of fun to gaze into the tank and from time to time and see what they're up too.
