Went out to the creek for a mid day slaughter...After all the last few times I went out I had them jumping in my net...Not the case today.I did the same loop at #5 and used most of the same flys....I could only get one here and there.I hit 2 runs that got me into more than one fish but I could not get them to stay on the hook..On the drive home I scratched the brain a few times .I new one reason why I did not have as good of a day as my last visit to the creek..I got ****y ...I didnt show up with my A game..lazy drifts, single handed casts and mends, leader length, weight and so one...I thought I was going to wack those fish and I didnt need to make all the little changes as I went from spot to spot...Iam sure there are other reasons I only felt the tug of a hand full of fish today , but I know I was one of the reasons...At least I caught a few of the dumb fish...Iam going to take a day or 2 off from fishing the creek ,slap my self a few time and hit it again thursday and redeem my self ...same loop, same flys, same time and my A game...Expect a new report for thursday with my self pride re intact or a link to e bay where my fly rods will be up for sale.....
At least I'm not the only one who got dogged recently. Last week I fished a couple of holes that I knew held fish, but the fish didn't want anything to do with me. I got a nice brown to follow a bugger but no takes. I guess that's how it goes sometimes.

After some days of hard fishing I feel like a worthless peice of crap that'll never catch another fish with a flyrod. Then it all seems to fall into place the next time.
