Got on the creek about 5:00 PM near access five and met a guy named Arto. Nice guy. We traded a few pleasantries and I did some tightlining and quickly hooked two scrappers in a fast pool. 1st one was an LDR, 2nd to hand, about 12 inches, wild, took a green micro may fly.
Was pretty excited, as the next hole I tried I got another 12 inch wild bow on the micro may.
Next 3 hours yielded nada, squat, dilddly.
I fished all the way up the old bridge at Access 4, and couldn't get my hands on any other fish.
I fished streamers the whole way back to the split and further on down the island with no luck.
Tied on a dry about 7:45 and put it in some typical spots with no takes. Was pretty windy and almost no bugs as a result.
I've been out at #5 a few times recently and have seen and found darn near nothing. Really weird, I have never seen a spring on the creek this bad. Also be aware of ticks, my sweetheart found one on her after an afternoon up near the rv park.
