I don't think Landon knows how to catch a small fish! You should have a blast and learn lots of good info from him on how to catch the hogs.

Well, you guys were right what a trip. For those of you who even care who Landon Mayer
is, what a great fisherman let alone great guy. We had a blast on the "Dream Stream" sight fishing for beautiful bows. I caught a very nice 23' cutthroat and a gorgous 24' female rainbow. My father landed a fish of a life. Small little riffle in a 3ft deep pocket here comes
this gorgous 28' 9lb male bow. What a great fish and an exceptional trip.

If any of you guys have the opportunity to go to CO to fish with Landon I would highly reccomend it. He style, knowledge and talent on the water is impressive, and funny as hell.
Im glad I can share this with you guys, buts its good to be back and cant wait to hit my home waters again. The pics are on a CD as soon as I load them, ill post the pics.

Here are some of the pics of the nice fish we took with Landon.
A cutthroat, female bow, and the big male bow. Really great fish and great
fights. Glad to share it with you all.

No problem glad to share them with you all!!
DTP: Landon Mayer is a fly fishing guide local out of Colorado Springs,CO.
He has a very unique way of sight fishing huge trout. He recently came out in the
fly fisherman magazine cover with a beautiful 17lb brown. If you want to see an
incredible DVD with some very good tips and techniques, I highly recommend his DVD.
You can get it on his website. Just google Landon Mayer ( just like everything else you need to find info on). Hope you enjoy it. ive seen it about 5 times.

Nice fish. I would like to hit Colorado sometime in the near future if gas doesn't go up to about
seven ducats a gallon. Still, I'll be going up to the Sierras some more. The residents are
much smaller, but fight like 7734 on an ultralight rod. Plus I think our scenery is worth
everything else.

Is he related to the musical sensation John Mayer???

LOL. Dude I was just messing with you. I know who he be. I bet I saw the movie before most people even knew it existed. I have probably seen it 15 times. He does have some serious skills.

If you look back a bit you'll notice I compare JT to him a lot, with his massive net. I also told JT about the movie and he was amazed too.

Nice catch, man! What did they eat? Copper John or Barr Emerger, LOL. Does Landon fish anything else?! biggrin

Thanks cone, it was an amazing exprrience being on the water with Landon. I HIGHLY recommend it. Its not to hard to get a time. I fortunaltly went during the week, I had two days that i could be on the water and he had both open. Just write him an email and ask him about his schedule.
