Like Tug, I also had a good day on the stream.  This was a surprise since I got skunked a week ago and caught only one 12 incher the trip before.  Today I caught 5 fish: 15, 16, 15, 22 1/2, and 18 (foul-hooked).  All were caught on beadhead mayfly nymphs.  I might add that the two big fish came from an area I would not normally fish in Winter.  The spot is normally a bit too shallow to hold good fish.  However, with the off-color water, I think the fish felt more secure holding there.  In any case, that was my rationale for fishing there and I can't argue with the results.

Sounds like you had a great time. I need to get back out there. I got discouraged from my last skunk, but it sounds like the fish are hungry!! Thanks for sharing.

Sounds like a good trip. I think as long as the water dose not muddy again the fishing will continue to improve, Especially if it stays warm.
