well fished it all day, meet up with matt r later in the day, he has been slayin them out there as well.
i went 3 for 4, 28"er, 30"er and a nice lil 21"er. to big boys caught on chucks hand made streamer, the lil guy on a glo bug. ill be out there weds and probably friday as well.
great day for fishing, oh ya a lot of people asked me about the line cuttin, and said i did the right thing. its a 10 dollar spey versa leader, i can get another one. or just double surgeon knot it with some superglue, which i did and it works just fine.

i bought my spey versa leader for 10 bucks. trust me i handled it pretty well compared to how i use to handle things. had i reacted the way i would have before i would be in jail right now for kicking the sh-t out of the guy, i would have knocked him out and took his fishing set up as he floated down the river. i think i reacted very well under the cirumstances.

Glad to see you kept your temper...I've witnessed/be involved in too many "adult" leagues (hockey, flag football, baseball) that got out of control. I've ended up feeling like the day was a big waste at the end. Hey, think on the bright side -- if you got thrown in jail, your "hog" pics would have a very different meaning...

Me and Emerger fished the AR today and Emerger got a nice fish, me....SKUNKED, I'm getting tired of taking pics of other peoples fish . Guys up top of "the spot" were getting a few as usual. I might be able to join ya on wendsday, let me know were you guys are gonna be. Is the american gonna close soon ?

I managed to get out today. I krept down to the bank, straight across the riffle from you CAPTAIN. I had been upstream from just before dawn...not so much as a bump. I didn't want to call out ... that run was already like a NASCAR event without me yelling, "WUZ UP Cappy?" I could tell by the look on your face that the your day wasn't going so great.
Later in the day I spoke to the guy that brought that hog by in front of you to land it in the backwater to your left. He was saying that fish probably went about 10lbs...he felt bad 'cause he hooked it in the back. He said he got another one about the same size, in the tail earlier.
I gave em HE** today CAPPY ... and I left stinky too! That's the "biggest" piece of water I've ever fished. Had bigguns jumpin near me all day. But no takers. I went to my fly box looking for meat ... tried what I call a "black disco leach" (has some flash in the body) that didn't help.
We'll get em next time! The Chinook carcasses everywear are trippy.

The fishing was really slow, but it was a gorgeous day. As Cappy said I landed one fish but it was small. I've caught bigger fish at Putah but none with the gusto this little guy had. Those steelhead have nitrous tanks on 'em. Lot's of fun to hook and land such a hard little fighter.
