I went out yesterday with two buddies. We fished from 9 am to dark. Between the 3 of us there were 5 hook ups and only 1 to hand. We didn't get any action at all until 5 pm. We parked at the hatchery and walked down to the island. There were already 7 guys at the top of the chute next to the island so we went back upstream to the riffles section. We did see a couple of fish hooked by those guys. At lunch we drove down to Sunrise and tried there for a few hours then headed back up to the hatchery with hopes of getting a spot near the chute. Wrong, there were 13 guys there now so we continued to fish the riffles. All fish came on some type of black streamer. I was using a black bunny leech, one buddy was using a black and purple thing with barbell eyes he tied and the other guy was using a big black and purple bugger. I think if the weather was not so nice we could have done better...a cloudy sky would have helped. These are pics from the only fish landed from hook up to net to hand.

Fishing isnt about catching fish, its not about who caught the most, or who caught the biggest, its about the experience that you have on the water, and the life long bonds you make with others on the journey to becoming a better person inside.
