I'm going down there tomorrow.  Do you think this will hurt or help the fishing?

I was at Access 5 this morning until 11am today and the flows were still low. Caught 1 ubiquitous 12 inch planter on an alevin pattern and lost a couple others on midge emerger. Met two fellows, from San Rafael and Napa, who hadn't fished the creek this fall and were just starting out. I hope they weren't met by a wall of water since the chart shows an "instantaneous" rise to 85 cfs. Also unburied a torn up small plastic/rubber boat that was wrapped around an extra large T-shirt on the west shore right where the creek splits around the island. I hope it will be picked up during cleanup, if hasn't floated away on the higher flows. The T shirt might be salvageable-has a nice logo on it for a beer drinker.

I just got back from Access 3. I fished it for a few hours using a #20 zebra midge and then switching to a #18 micro mayfly. I had one 12 inch hooked up and lost it. Other than that I got the big skunk. It was still fun. I had my 4 year old daughter with me playing near the water. I was not expecting much.

I think I could feel the water coming up as the day went on.

Is anyone up to going to the Lower American on Sunday?

Flows up to that level would be noticed but definitely no wall of water coming down. I think it could only help the fishing. I know some of my favorite low water spots have been fishing well lately now they will fish extra well.smile

Flows are all over the place. Better a rise in water then a big fall.
