Any chance you have to fish the east carson river you should ! Reports have it that the water is very low but temps. are good. Alpine county just did a huge plant, these are not dfg. planters, These are "qaulity" planters to 10 lbs. I'm spending 5 days on the upper sac in a few weeks, Then i have another 4 days the second week of october and the east carson may be were I head to for what may be the last sierra trip of the year.

I was there in July with the water flows around 60cfs.  Alot lower from years past, but it was still productive.  I fish below Hangman's bridge.  If you're really feeling adventurous and have a 4x4, you may someday want to check out the Barney Riley trail.

I hope to fish the east carson the weekend of Oct. 6 as my last hoorah of the year.   Sorry I  don't have an updated visit for ya...

so nobody is down to go up to carson with me, gonna fish the wild trout sanctuary near the airport, and if thing dont pick up just gonna go do my usual runs up and down the river, but i did do some research and yes there was a big planting of big trout (average 5 lbs, but some 8-10 lbs where also stocked as well) recently from the bridge where the trophy section starts all the way up, so if you want to go throw me a message, sunrise is gonna be right before 7 am so i want to leave no later than 5 am, again if you are interested just let me know, i have room for atleast one in the suv, gonna have to do some 4x4 to get the the first spot but should be worth it,

well hope to hear from someone, if not ill post on friday to let ya know how it goes
