Fished Lake Almanor the last week of July and the first week of August caught probably 100+ smallmouth bass. The action was unreal. Float tube in about 15 feet of water throwing olive and brown wollys with a little bit of flash in the tail with intermediate sink line. Cast strip the slack out of the line let er sink and wammo. Hardly ever had to even strip in line the fish hit it in the first 5 top feet. Also went down to Butt lake and fished just below the power house.  Three carp to 5 plus pounds 7 sqaw fish to 6 pluss pounds 1 brown to 3 pounds. Butt lake was on my last day. The smallmouth on Almanor was hot at sunrise and sunset.
