I was curious if anybody ever read or saw a per mile fish count on Putah Creek. In other words the Truckee has so many fish per square mile or the Carson has so many fish per square mile. It would be interesting to know since those of us who fish Putah a lot know how much the fish move around. One day your favorite hole is completely empty and the next they seem to be stacked like wood. Perhaps a winter time count would be more accurate when the stocked fish numbers aren't throwing off the native fish count.
