Hey guys, I was up at Putah this last weekend and the flows were pretty fast. Im somewhat new to flyfishing and was hoping for some advice on where would be a decent spot for a novice to easily fish on the creek w/o too much difficulty. Any help is appreciated.
Until the flows stabilize a bit there probably isn't a spot where one could easily fish. The fishing has been pretty tough lately. In the next couple of weeks, the fishing should get a little better. The DFG will start to stock the creek once trout season opens again. Hatchery fish are not too picky. They'll pretty much eat anything, so they're good to learn on. The big, wild fish are hunkered down in the deeper holes, so they're harder to get to now.
