I just started fishing Putah this winter. I was wondering what are the best months to fish out of the year? thanks.

I can only give you advice on the winter fishing, because that's the only time I've ever fished it. i fish elsewhere during normal season.

I hate being around the crowds, so I tend to stay off the creek in the non-winter months. But I here it's good year round, caddis activity is good in the spring, summer. Some mayfly activity, lots of baetis. Midges seem to be the winner here.

The biggest crowds I've seen on the creek were in the winter.  My favorite months to fish the creek are August and September.  The fish are still fat and super strong.  It can be a blast.
