I was going to head up to the upper sac. this weekend but due to the uncertain weather I have decided to try something a  little closer to home. Heading up to the north fork mokelumne tommorrow near the town of jackson, So can anyone give me any info. on this water, I'd like to know about how big this river is compared to putah, hopefully the rain hasn't blown it out, and if it has, Guess it'll turn into a sight seeing trip. Anyways " I GOTTA GET OUT OF THIS PLACE"

Well i tried but about 8 miles out of jackson the snow was to bad to continue on. So I did a little driving around and came across the main fork of the mokelumne, took a little gravel road that followed the river for awhile, lots of private property sighns, kept going, finally found a chunk of BLM land close to the river, stopped wadered up and set out(I'm not even sure if this area was open to fishing). The river seemed a little high but not blown out by any means. Was rather excited when i hooked and lost a decent sized rainbow within 15 mins. on a flashback hares ear, put in another 2 hours and didnt get another hit. That would be about 350 miles of driving for one lil fish, but oh well, still had some fun, really nice scenery.I foresee myself putting a serious amount of miles on the car this year !
