Hey all, I was just surfing the net and I found something that might be of interest, given the recent decision to start a Putah creek NPO. The Northern California Federation of Fly Fishers gives out conservation grants to applicants deemed worth, and they have one coming up in June 07. If we get organized and figure out some objectives, this could be a good chance to really get some stuff done with the creek. The grants range from 250 to 5000 dollars, but in the past projects have ended up with as much as 15,000 in grant money! the website is http://www.nccfff.org/grantpage/grants.htm and it explains the criteria for applying and all of the details. Check it out, this could be of great use. Oh by the way I have no legal experience but I am a good writer (UCD English) and I am down to help in any way to conserve/restore or lobby for putah creek, and I can make it to the saturday meeting. later Charlie

Thanks you for the info Charlie,I will look into this. And I would definately be interested in possibly using you're talents as a writer, but for now I'm just trying to figure out what steps to take to get this thing rolling.I posted in the other forum that I decided to change the meeting date of Feb 24th because alot of people cannot make it due to the fact that they are at the Fly fishing show. When I come to a new date I will post it. Thanks again Greg
