Im going Ducking hunting in Willows this Saturday and was looking for a river to fish for Sunday. I have to be in West Sac on Sunday afternoon. I can't seem to find a decent or recent fishing report. The lower Yuba sounds like the flows are too high, the feather is just a nasty river and the American sounds slow. Any ideas would be much appreciated. Blast and Cast!!
This time of the year and the lack of rain make me wounder what is "too high" for the Yuba. In years past it fished great for me with flows all the way up to about 2,400cfs or so but have fished it with success much higher. It always seemed to be more aobut visibility than cfs as long as you wern't fishing in the trees and bushes.

Silver Creek, I think I met you on the creek Saturday near the bridge. If you want to fish something productive that's close to the Sacramento area, I would just hit Putah Creek again. There may be bigger fish elsewhere, but the consistency of hookups on Putah is pretty hard to match right now. JT

I'll agree with ya on that JT, but man i really like fishing the lower yuba its an awesome river, its like being in a place far far away to me, kinda reminds me of a river i used to fish in washington st. called the nisqually, those were the days, massive amounts of silver salmon and something you cant get any were around here the big chum salmon.
Hey JT. That was me on Saturday. I think your right, going back to Putah Creek is propably the call. I will most likely fish somewhere closer to west sac. Im staying in Nevada City on Saturday night so Puta would not make much sense.
