I was wondering if anybody has ever fished in Yellow Creek by Lake Almanor.  I have a place up there, but that is one the few streams I havent checked out yet.  Just wondering if it is good.

I have fished yellow creek down in the canyon section off of hiway 70 near Belden. Really beautiful area with a few spots to fish if you hike up a quarter mile or so.

Most people when they talk of Yellow creek refer to the meadow area off of Humbug Road. I meant to fish this area this summer, but for one reason or another I didn't make it there. It is a spring fed creek and is one of the few that is fishable even when other streams are blown out from the snow melt.

Hope this helps a bit and seeing that you have a place near Almanor, I expect you to soon tell us all of the secret spots you find.

Some good spots that I enjoy are Crystal Lake near Quincy, Packer lake right after ice out, Warner creek, Goodrich creek, Bucks lake.  Those are some of my favorits in the area.  Its funny because my parents place is right on the lake, but I reall dont fish Almanor. Crystal is beautiful and only has browns there is a lookout tower and you can see Almanore and some other lakes from Quincy.
