When Will They Raise The Flows?

Any word on when the flows will be raised on Putah? I've been wanting to fish it for the first time this year but 80CFS in my opinion is just way too low.

It‘s all based on how much water is ordered the day before. Basically the farmers, Budweiser, municipal water agencies all submit there needs by 3 pm the day before. I am guessing ditches and canals are full so not much water is being ordered.

My understanding was that the Budwiser plant got its water from the water treatment plant off of Peabody road in Vacaville via a dedicated line.

Berryessie is on the money regarding water distribution. Once the weather starts warming up and drying out the farmers are going to want to turn on the tap and the flows will go up. You could probably go back to historical flows and get a pretty good guess.

In between weather fronts the bass bite up at the lake should be heating up. It's usually wide open by Easter.

Been wondering myself. I refuse to fish anything under 200-250CFS... can’t believe people are fishing it below 100...!

I was chasing cows yesterday between access 4-5 all along the CreeK. Spoke with one angler who was Czech nymphing and he hadnt as any luck all day. Only thing I saw was a family of 6 otters putting a huge dent in the crawdad population..

Please leave my cows alone. They have every right to the creek. It's public.
