Trout with white on its head.

I was fishing this weekend near the bridge and noticed a white blob moving upstream and realized it was a fish. I tried my best and gave it some really good drifts without any success. Just wondering if any of you have caught that trout? I am so curious to see what was going on with it.

That could have been a fungal infection on its head, perhaps exacerbated by being foul hooked at one time.

Ok guys, what are the ethics when you catch a trout with an obviously fatal fungal infection? The law states that we must release all fish unharmed but what about one with a contagious disease?

Let the otter take care of it.
