Float Tubin'

My dad gave me a used Caddis float tube. After patching a leak in the bladder and recreating the absent spreader bar and dripping apron , I decided to take it for a spin. I had so much fun floating a couple slow deep holes on the creek. There was a short window ~noon that the fish were obviously more active. I was eating my snack when I noticed that my indicator was gone. This beauty was the culprit. I let him off with a warning.

Nice trout. Was that the only fish of the day?

I've been thinking about trying Putah again now that the flow is a bit lower. I'm debating between the 2 hrs drive to Yuba or the 50 minutes drive to Putah.

Only a couple in 3 hours but I had A few more takes that I missed. Zebra midge was the hot fly. (When is it NOT on the Putah?!)
