Paddle boat between #2 & #3
Permalink

Just FYI, I removed the paddle boat that was stuck in the creek between access number 2 and 3. I've also made note of some other large trash in the creek that I plan to remove, tires, rafts, large trash piles, etc.. I try to go on days with fewer fishermen so as not to disturb the creek too much. I fish the creek quite a bit myself and I live in Winters so its easy enough to find days to muddy the waters.

If anyone knows of any larger junk in the creek that they would like to see removed, let me know what it is and where it is located.  I don't expect anyone to stop their fishing trip to pull big items because when I'm fishing I just make note of them and keep fishing, which is why I setup separate days just to go out and remove stuff.

The things I have noted but have not gotten too are currently a tire and two paddles upstream of access 3, a large tangle of trash on a branch at access 3 (lower most bend), 2 rafts in a pool at access 2, and a life vest stuck in a tree but I cannot remember where I saw it. All this among other minor liter such as bottles and cans (which I also pull while there). If you have anything to add, please respond to this thread.

Weekdays are out for me, but if you end up needing a hand picking up some larger items I can give you a hand on a weekend.

Evan, thank you so much for doing this for all of us. I guide the creek frequently and usually grab a drink at Preserve afterward. I owe you a beer for you taking upon yourself for cleaning up the river. PM me and I will let you know next time I am around.
