Hi everyone, just wanted to pass along a warning to those who may turn into the North side of the road parking area at the bridge. The point at which the asphalt meets the dirt has eroded to the extent that in my compact , I had a tough time entering and exiting the lot as there are deep ruts in the earth and a drop between pavement and dirt. It poses no problem for an suv or a pick up, but for a low clearance compact like mine, I was lucky to get in and out without any damage.  That was Tuesday 10/7, lots of chunkie foot longs to the net, was schooled by several larger fish. gorgeous day, that is all. Tight lines, Viking.

I am a bit confused about what side is the North side of the road.  Is it the side nearest the dam?

I would think of it as East or West or upstream vs downstream or dam close or dam far wink

True enough, not sure where I came up with the North side, let's call it the left side as one approaches the bridge coming from downstream.

We should contact either DFW or Cal-Trans-one of them has ownership of that lot. Its on the PCT to do list.
