planning a trip to Milton at the end of July and was wondering if anyone has been there lately? any report? any fly suggestions? sizes? I'll probably bring my fly tying box, so just wondering what you guys typically use and what size so I can be prepared?

Midges pretty similar to Putah. Black, red and grey size 20-22. Callibaetis size 12-14 Hares ear or tan/grey soft hackles. Marabou damsels size 12 olive. Caddis size 14-16 tan and olive soft hackles. Try stripping a clear camo intermediate line with the soft hackles and damsels! Caddis early and late try an E/C or Xcaddis. Good luck out there.

Thanks Chris,

I appreciate the info. I'll probably bring my tying stuff, but gives me a good idea on what materials I'll need to bring.

The few times I have fished it I had satisfactory results on midges, And parachute adams.  I'm curious how low the lake is.

Hey Shon,

Not sure you can tell by this photo, but here's what the lake looked like last week. It was low, but fishable. Pretty good time.

Hey Otter, Nice running into you/camping.

Thanks for letting me camp at your spot! Otherwise I would have had to camp in the woods with the bears…
